Here are some tips from our Be Clean cleaners:

• All purpose cleaner : Combine 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1 quart warm water, and use it with a sponge to wipe messes away.
• Sick of Stinky Shoes? Freshen up yours or your kids sneakers by sprinkling some baking soda inside your shoes and tap it out just before your next workout.
• Removing your creative kids masterpiece: For wooden surfaces use a spare toothbrush or damp cloth with a pea-size amount of toothpaste and slowly work away the masterpiece. For painted surfaces (walls etc) use a damp cloth sprinkled with baking soda.
• Clearing a slow drain: Ever notice your kitchen sink takes a long time to drain after dinner dishes? Tip ½ cup of baking soda, followed by ½ cup of vinegar. Cover with a damp cloth and wait about 5 minutes so science can do its thing and then flush with hot water.
• Brighten Coloured shoes: Give your dull sneakers a scrub with some toothpaste to brighten the colours again
• Soften towels: Wash towels on the hottest temperature setting and add 1 cup of ammonia and nothing else
• Stained Cutting board: run a half a lemon over your stained chopping boards to remove those pesky stains.
• Greasy stains on clothes: Rubbing a little dish detergent into the stain and rinsing with water will remove grease based stains.
• Add shine to your copper pots: over time those beautiful copper pots you invested in will loose that shine you love. Add a touch of ketchup to a sponge and rub gently, the shine will return!
• Wooden scuff: scuff or scratch on your wooden furniture? Rub it out with a walnut (shell removed)
• Other uses for vodka: A bit of elbow grease and vodka will return shine to porcelain fixtures.
• Muddy footprints: Don’t freak when your kids run through the house with muddy footprints, make yourself a cup of tea and relax for five while the mud dries. Dried dirt if much easier to clean than mud
• Faking living room tidiness: The key is to gather similar items: piling magazines and books or gathering stray remotes. Fluff the pillows and add throw blankets for bonus points.

Streaky mirrors: Use coffee filters instead of paper towels to clean your mirrors as they are lint free.
